After so much time that i have invested in training, books videos etc, and hard work building up classes and maintaining members, I feel the pressure to be well  in shape, and always in class.  Recently I have been thinking a little more latterally in terms of increasing earning potential and focusing on recruiting instructors so that the classes I have estabblished are not stopped and I can either have a night off here or there or venture out into another area in the ever expanding health/fitness industy.

What i am particually interested in doing is looking to large companies,  schools, even manufacturing companies and offer them the chance to increase their productivity by running pilates classes (with more of an emphasis on relaxtion) on site during their lunch hour.  One company i know of has made it compusory to atttend a fitness session before they start work as the company recognise the importance of a strong and healthy positve minded workforce.

I would be realy interested to hear from anyone else on this subject and  exchange ideas.

I believe that in the industy we kind of have tw choices;  work our socks of,  then hang our boots up and everything grinds to a halt.  Or keep adding wheels to this wonderfull vehicle we have to build a business, and contnue to see the fruits of our labour when we have longed stopped, and help other insructors to become more independant.

Any thoughts appreciated

I think that you are right. You have to keep coming up with new ideas and move with the industry and society needs. One small idea can quite easily lead to much bigger things!

As well as lunchtime session, you could try sessions at 5.00pm or 7.30am ?

Good luck !
