If you join ZIN at the course you get a ZIN CD and DVD set (which is ZIN 24 at the moment) as well as another music CD. This is in addition to the CD and DVDs you receive on the course anyway. So at the end of the day, if you join ZIN you will have 3 music CDs until you receive the next ZIN shipment.
Don't be confused by the 70/30 rule. This was introduced to stop people in the US from doing hip hop classes and calling them Zumba. Your class must be a minimum of 70% (that's 7 out of 10 tracks) latin and international (i.e. not typically British for us!!) This doesn't mean however that you would HAVE to use 30% typically national rhythms (morris dancing anyone?!!) It also means that you cannot use more than 30% of songs as the same rhythm. I.e. if you love reggaeton you can only do max 3 out of 10 reggaeton tracks otherwise it would be more of a reggaeton class than a Zumba class. Zumba is a trademarked brand so of course we have to protect our brand and that's why there are guidelines as to what a Zumba class actually is. Otherwise we could all just do whatever we wanted and call it Zumba. |
