How Emma Staples Built a Successful Silent Disco Walking Community
Wednesday 9th September – Special Guest in the C2GO Supporters
We are delighted to welcome Emma Staples to the C2GO Supporters on Wednesday 9th September for a fantastic session all about Silent Disco Walks and building a community fitness business.
After relocating from Kent to Mundesley, Emma faced something many fitness professionals experience when moving to a new area – she had to rebuild her entire community fitness business from scratch.
No established client base. No existing local network. She had to get out into her new community, meet people and start building again.
And Silent Disco Walks became a huge part of that journey.
Starting With Just a Few Local Women
Emma began running Silent Disco Walks with just a handful of local women.
Rather than waiting for perfect weather or large numbers, she kept going throughout the winter, consistently showing up and gradually building momentum.
Those small walks started to grow.
More people heard about them. Participants brought friends. The photographs and videos created fantastic social media content and people began noticing what Emma was doing.
Fast forward to today and you may have seen Emma on social media leading incredible Silent Disco Walks with as many as 40 people through Cromer and Norwich.
Why Silent Disco Has Been a Game-Changer
Silent Disco has become a fantastic way for Emma to stand out within her local fitness market.
The walks are fun, visual and incredibly shareable.
They create the kind of content that naturally attracts attention on social media while also getting people talking about the classes locally.
Most importantly, they have enabled Emma to reach new people who may never have considered attending a traditional fitness class.
Silent Disco Walks have become a brilliant entry point into Emma’s wider fitness community.
Could Silent Disco Work in Your Fitness Business?
If you’re looking for something different to add to your timetable, Silent Disco Walks could open up lots of possibilities.
You could use them as standalone paid events, regular weekly sessions, pop-up experiences, seasonal walks, charity events or as a way of introducing new people to your existing classes and memberships.
They can also help you create highly visual content that showcases your community and gives prospective clients a real feel for what you offer.
