Let’s Talk Infrared Heat!
I’m SO excited to finally share that I’ve opened my very own small Infrared Fitness Home Studio next door to my Reformer space — and I’m completely obsessed with how it feels to move in the heat!

Infrared heat is different to traditional hot studios — it warms you, not just the air, so the experience feels deeply warming, soothing, and energising all at once.
It helps with:
Flexibility
Deep muscle activation
Detoxification through a proper sweat
Glowing skin
That addictive post-class high
Whether you’re into Pilates, mobility, strength, or functional training — infrared heat enhances it all. It’s a game-changer for how your body moves and feels
SO why exercise in the INFRARED and what are the benefits
Working out in infrared heat offers a mix of physiological and wellbeing benefits — and it’s especially popular in practices like HOT Pilates, yoga, mobility, and functional fitness. Here’s a breakdown of the key perks:
Benefits of Working Out in Infrared Heat
1. Deep Muscle Warmth
Infrared heat warms your body directly, not just the air — so muscles loosen faster, reducing the risk of injury and improving flexibility. Think of it as a gentle pre-warm-up built in.
2. Enhanced Detoxification
Infrared heat promotes sweating at a deeper level, helping the body flush out toxins through the skin. Great for post-weekend resets!
3. Improved Circulation
It boosts blood flow and oxygen delivery to working muscles — which can aid performance and recovery.
4. Increased Calorie Burn
Because your body is working to regulate temperature while you move, you can burn more calories compared to regular room temp training.
5. Stress Reduction
Infrared environments tend to feel soothing. Combined with mindful movement, this can help lower cortisol and support nervous system balance.
6. Skin Benefits
Sweating in infrared heat may help unclog pores and boost circulation to the skin — cue that post-class glow
7. Easier on the Air
Unlike traditional hot studios, infrared heat doesn’t blast the room — it’s gentler on breathing and creates a drier, more comfortable heat.
I created a HOT Fitness Pilates course in 2014 and we trained lots of teachers around the UK but now I have my own space for classes and teacher training I’m excited to be going deep into Infrared.
