Morning Check-In & PerformX Recap
Good morning, everyone! If you’re watching on the replay, welcome! I’ve got loads to share today.
- I went to PerformX Expo yesterday—it was packed!
- I taught a class in the expo and had great conversations about the future of fitness, including:
- AI in personal training
- New fitness equipment & apparel
- Where Group Exercise (GroupX) is heading
- Today, I should be heading back for another session!
Let me know in the comments—do you think GroupX is shrinking? Are you seeing fewer classes in gyms?
The Decline of Group Exercise & Fitness Education Events
One of the big discussions was about how GroupX participation is shrinking, while personal training is growing.
- Many gyms are removing studio spaces due to “dead space” during off-peak hours.
- Blackpool and other fitness conventions are getting smaller, with fewer education sessions.
- Travel and ticket costs are making it harder for people to attend in-person education events.
Do you still go to fitness education events, or do you get all your learning online now? Let me know!
Trends in Fitness & Wellness
A few key trends stood out at PerformX:
- Wellness & Recovery – More focus on mental health, stress management, and recovery techniques like ice baths & sauna therapy.
- AI & Fitness – AI tools are changing personal training, but what about GroupX?
- Sober Socializing & Wellness Events – More people (especially menopausal women) are ditching alcohol and looking for healthier social activities.
- Coffee Shop Raves – This trend is huge! Alcohol-free morning raves with DJs, matcha tea, and fitness elements—such a cool idea!
What new trends are you seeing in your classes or community?
Events & Workshops – What Would You Attend?
Would you come to a fitness brunch, retreat, or wellness event?
- Many people don’t want to travel into London due to cost.
- Regional events don’t always get enough sign-ups.
- Shorter morning or afternoon events might be a better fit.
Let me know—would you attend a FitPro networking event?
Using Google Forms for Business Growth
If you’re not using Google Forms, you’re missing out! It’s perfect for:
- Client check-ins
- PAR-Q forms
- Feedback collection
- Tracking business inquiries
I created a Supporters Form—fill it out today to see how it works!
Streamlining Business Operations & Onboarding Clients
If you’re getting lots of DMs and emails, you need a system!
Step 1: Automate Inquiry Responses
- Identify the top questions people ask.
- Save pre-written answers in your Notes app or create an FAQ page.
- Use voice notes for a personal touch.
Step 2: Automate Client Bookings
- When someone books a class, send an instant welcome email with:
- Class details
- What to bring
- Health & safety info
- Use Google Forms for onboarding.
Step 3: Follow Up & Build Loyalty
- After a client’s first session, send a follow-up message:
- “Thanks for coming! How did you feel?”
- Regular check-ins turn one-time clients into long-term customers.
Do you have an onboarding system, or is it manual? Let me know!
Downloading & Repurposing Facebook Live Videos
Facebook is deleting old Live videos in June!
- Download your videos ASAP!
- Store them on a hard drive or upload them to YouTube.
- Repurpose old content into reels, challenges, and lead magnets.
If you use StreamYard, you can now automatically generate AI-edited clips! So cool!
Final Thoughts & Next Steps
- Fill out the Supporters Form and try using Google Forms for your business.
- Think about streamlining your onboarding process—what’s working for you?
- Let me know—would you attend more fitness networking events?
I’ll be back tomorrow with more insights—thank you for being here! 😊
