How to Create Your January Online Programme – Your Quick Start Guide
January is a fantastic opportunity for FitPros to create an online programme. Your clients are ready for structure, support and a fresh start — and an online offer gives you scalable income alongside your in-person classes.
Here’s a simple step-by-step plan based on everything we’ve covered this week in the SUPPORTERS group.
1. Plan Your Offer
Decide the foundations of your programme:
• Theme – strength, core, mobility, posture, wellness reset, menopause, stress, etc.
• Who it’s for – current clients, returning clients, or new leads.
• Duration – 2–4 weeks works best.
• Delivery platform – Facebook group or WhatsApp group keeps it simple.
• Session length – 10–20 minutes daily, or 3 focused sessions per week.
• Start date – early or mid-January (it doesn’t have to be a Monday).
Online programmes scale far beyond the limits of your class timetable — once created, you can relaunch them throughout the year.
2. Build Your Content Framework
Create a clear structure so your programme feels professional and repeatable:
• Batch film or go live and save the replays.
• Add accountability tools such as trackers, weekly check-ins and “daily wins” posts.
• Create a simple welcome pack with an overview, timetable and equipment list.
Short, consistent content delivers the strongest results and keeps clients engaged.
3. Create Easy, High-Impact Content
• Choose a location to film if you’re doing pre-recorded sessions.
• Decide whether you’ll add wellness tips, healthy habits or stress-management tools around the workouts.
• Keep everything simple, doable and aligned with the outcome you’ve promised.
4. Launch With a Simple Marketing Plan
• Start talking about your programme now.
• Use a waitlist or WhatsApp interest group.
• Offer an early bird price to encourage early sign-ups.
• Share sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes clips and wellness tips.
• Use social media to build your email list.
• Keep your message clear: achievable, supportive, short daily sessions.
Your online audience needs consistent reminders and simple calls to action.
5. Deliver Smoothly
Before the programme starts:
• Set up your group.
• Upload the welcome pack.
• Schedule Week 1 content.
• Record a short welcome video.
On launch day, go live, set expectations and keep the energy high and encouraging.
The Hybrid Business Model for Self-Employed FitPros
My business model for a self-employed FitPro is what I call the HYBRID model.
You:
• Teach busy, full community classes (with waiting lists).
• Run seasonal online programmes at key points in the year like January, Easter and September.
• Create local events, workshops and retreats to build income, community and social media content.
• Many of you also offer 1:1 or small-group PT and coaching.
This way, you’re not relying on one income stream, but three or four that all fit together — and everything you do feeds into your social media, marketing and visibility.
