    Title: Cultivating Happiness: A  Fitness Pilates Class Relaxation Script
    Duration: Approximately 5 minutes
    Today, let’s take a few moments to relax and cultivate a sense of happiness within ourselves. Find a comfortable seated position, either on a mat or a chair, ensuring that your spine is upright and your shoulders are relaxed. Close your eyes gently, or maintain a soft gaze.

    Take a deep breath in through your nose, and as you exhale through your mouth, release any tension you may be holding onto. Let go of any worries or distractions from the outside world. Allow yourself to fully immerse in this moment of relaxation.

    Now, let’s focus on cultivating happiness within ourselves. Bring your attention to your heart centre, the area in the middle of your chest. Visualise a warm, glowing light in this space, radiating love, joy, and contentment. With each breath, imagine this light growing brighter and expanding, filling your entire being with its positive energy.

    As you continue to breathe deeply, I will guide you through a series of affirmations. Repeat them silently in your mind or say them softly to yourself, embracing each word fully.

    I am deserving of happiness. I choose to embrace joy and positivity in my life.
    I let go of any negative thoughts or emotions that no longer serve me. I replace them with gratitude and optimism.

    • I find happiness in the present moment, appreciating the beauty that surrounds me.
    • I nourish my body, mind, and soul with self-care practices that promote happiness and well-being.
    • I am grateful for the opportunity to teach Pilates and positively impact the lives of others.
    • I invite happiness into every aspect of my life, allowing it to ripple out and touch those around me.
    • Take a moment to acknowledge and embrace the feelings that arise as you repeat these affirmations. Allow happiness to permeate your entire being, filling you with a sense of peace and contentment.

     

    Now, bring your attention back to your breath. Notice the gentle rise and fall of your abdomen with each inhale and exhale. Take a few more deep breaths, slowly bringing yourself back to the present moment.

    When you’re ready, gently open your eyes and take a moment to appreciate the sense of happiness you have cultivated within yourself. Carry this feeling with you as you go about your day, allowing it to shine through your interactions and teachings.

    Remember, happiness is not just a destination—it’s a journey. Embrace it and share it with others. Thank you for taking this time for yourself.
