Behind the scenes MIND.BODY.FIT
Fitness Event Event Marketing For 2017
I’ve always been a HUGE Fan of event marketing to
promote your business, classes and services
and to give your clients and potential clients a deeper experience of you and your brand.
A week night evening in a great venue with a mix of a
talk and practical is
a great combination.
On Monday I held my new Kick Start Mind.Body.Fit event
at a local golf club in
Derbyshire.
I did a talk on Women’s Wellness and Health followed by a taster
of The Brainfit Workoutâ„¢ followed by Jayne who did Fitness Yoga.
I know the golf club well and the function room is a lovely,
light and airy space.
I have been marketing the event on social media for
2 months, using Facebook ads
and tagging everyone i know locally and asking to share.
I had clothing stalls, massage therapists, reflexologists and organic skin care doing
10 minute treatments
PLUS we put on our own Kick Start food and served fruit teas for guest to try.
Everyone wet away with a complimentary goody bag
with samples from local
businesses.
It was a really fab evening with 60 people attending.
Planning your own local master class, fitness event
or organising an evening in your area is a brilliant way to raise your profile.
Especially with all of the hype on social media it’s just brilliant for your PR, Brand and business.
Film the event and post clips on all social media sites, writing articles and posting them on your own website and on Facebook also helps build your credibility.
Build your profile on social media, posting lots of videos with you presenting your unique class ideas or clips of your talks.
Engaging with other Speakers, Presenters and local businesses is a great way to get noticed, so network using Twitter.
If you want to be a speaker or presenter then start by organising you own local events – this is a fantastic way to get noticed and build your tribe and following.
What to present?
1. Choose a topic that will motivate, is current and offers useful info.
2. Set the date and time.
3. Create your marketing material.
Create stylish graphics for social media and email to everyone on your email list and mail out to your database.Use ALL social media platforms Insta/Facebook/Youtube/Twitter and your own Blog and website to promote.
4. Tweet out regularly to potential sponsors.
Target local businesses in your area asking them what YOU can do for them. It’s got to be an attractive proposition for the to want to get involved.
5. Use social media daily to promote.
On the Day
1. Welcome everyone personally as they register
2. Give away a goody pack containing your information, how to book you for another event, your biography and contact details, free samples etc.
3. After the class thank everyone and tell them about the next event you have planned. Make sure you film clips of the day, get testimonials and put on your Facebook profile.
